Service Description

Month long 4 - 90 minute ,small group sessions (minimum 4, maximum 8 to a class) focused on learning the fundamentals of 'Standard British' (RP: Received Pronunciation). This accent is an excellent 'jumping off place' for learning other UK accents. This option is for you: If you prefer a group dynamic. If you want an introduction to, or review of, the fundamentals of 'Standard British'. Included: -Fundamentals of placement, intonation, sound changes. - Relevant, light International Phonetic Alphabet study. (Don't let this part scare you. The IPA is an optional tool not a necessity). -British vernacular (common phrases and words). -Monologue / scene work.
